Team Associated SC10B RS 1/10 Scale RTR Brushless Short Course Buggy
I bought this RTR SCB to play with at the track. There currently isn't an SCB class at my track. The race director allowed my son to race it with the 17.5 SC blinky trucks last night. Racing it literally out of the box except for tires, he finished 3rd in the a main (2 mains). He was only 1 of 3 drivers (the other 2 drivers being factory sponsored racers) able to hit 18 laps in the mains. Not bad for a RTR car literally box stock. The SCB obviously handles very well out of the box. It carries good cornering speed, and it is very forgiving. The RTR is great for a basher, or a good entry level car for the first time racer. I agree it needs better ball cups Unless a class develops, I am going to keep it box stock. My son already proved that it is competitive the way it shipped from the factory.

Team Associated SC10B RS 1/10 Scale RTR Brushless Short Course Buggy
Great buggy. Associated did a great job here. I am a noob at tracks and have taken this to a track 5 times now, every time I do, someone asks me what is it and then tells me how impressed they are at how it handles. One thing this needs out of the box is some good tie-rods, the stock ones are too small and weak. I would go with the Lunsford "super duty set" with the hardened ball cups. Drop the car down with the lowest suspension settings and you can out turn any short course truck. I had no problem keeping tight lines with this against the fastest guys running their Losi 22s and Associated B4s. The stock servo is crap, I blew mine out after one track day..get a good servo along with the Lunsford set and you can start pulling good laps in no time. The stock tires on the rear are way too soft for clay or carpet, loose dirt would be okay, but if you run on carpet or clay..get different tires right away. All in all..a great buggy. Too bad more people at my track aren't buying these. Some guys have commented in my area about how there needs to be a class for these. I agree with the previous poster about parts, some parts from the T4 and SC10 will fit, but some won't. Most of the aluminum parts for the previous cars will..I put aluminum steering knuckles, rear hub carriers and casters on no problem. But..the aluminum 12mm hex nuts won't work, they pull the wheels to far in and you can't tighten the wheel nuts propely so..hopefully they start making more upgrade parts for this.

Great buggy, needs RPM ball cups, FT turnbuckles before you hit the track. Raced it several times did very well and won the class series. Getting parts is difficult because it is so new. Very stable, easy to jump. Novice racer should get new servo, I used Airtronics 94770 and worked great. Cool buggy, everybody at tracks ask questions especially when it is out in front. Can't go wrong, my son loves his T4.1 but says "the SC10 buggy is so easy to drive". Might become his favorite.

I have five RC cars, and this one is by far the most fun of all of them. Smooth setup, right out of the box. Have run it both indoors and outdoors. Definitely is waterproof because I ran two full packs in a light rain with some mud and no problems at all. The full scale look is awesome. Associated really nailed it with this one.
