Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
Mugen electric conversions have been competing succesfully for a while but this specifically designed E-buggy takes it to the next level! This kit goes together with all the quality and fit you expect from a Mugen kit. The kit was well thought out and everything has its place and purpose. The Protek battery, ProTek R/C 4S "Supreme Power" Li-Poly 50C Hard Case Battery Pack (14.8V/5600mAh) (ROAR Approved), is a perfect fit in the battery tray!

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
This is my fourth different 1/8th scale buggy. I bought it used, but it was nearly new. I have to say that this is a very impressive buggy. Very very well made car. Everything about this buggy just screams "quality". Beefy suspension with big smooth shocks that really absorb the bumps. The layout of the chassis is very well done/organized. What sets buggies like this apart from the rest is the attention to details. It's the little things that Mugen does that really hits home. For instance, the wire from your ESC goes under the battery tray and underneath the center diff. There is a little guide there that routes it through and protects it from the rotating diff. There is a mount for a transponder that is cushioned. No more broken tabs from hard hits. They use a rubber grommet on the radio box to route the wires through. It's outstanding stuff. It's a pretty light buggy compared to the other one's I have run. Very nimble. When you take it through the air, you will be amazed at how well it jumps. That's a testament to its well balanced setup. The drive train is super smooth as well. Couple those things together and it makes this car faster than others. With the same lipos and motor, this car was faster than my Ve8. Now, no car is perfect so I'll bring up a few flaws I encountered. No deal breakers though. The stock springs are WAY too soft for any kind of large jumps. You will get horrible "chassis slap" with them if you run on a large track. I would switch to medium or stiffer using their new silver springs. The rear a-arms a little weak where the rear shock is mounted. Too much chassis slap could snap them (happened to me). A few people have broken motor mounts, so don't over tighten the screws that secure it. Use blue thread lock to keep them tight. The manual is a little disappointing. No tuning information at all, just a setup sheet. The setup sheet is a bit confusing as well, due to the dizzying amount of tuning options. The body is paper thin and too low profile. There's just not enough room under it for wires, so you will have to route them to the side of the lipo. This is all minor stuff though and should not discourage you from buying this magnificent buggy.

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
I've set my ECO up with a Castle Monster Mamba 2650Kv, 5600 protek battery, I raced it at a club day straight out of the box, and was amazed how the car handled the power, and how quiet it was.
With very small set up tweaks and no software adjustments (straight from the box)I raced it at the 2011 New Zealand Offroad EP Champs, and qualified 2nd on the Saturday, then took it to 2nd overall in the finals on Sunday.
Overall this car has suprised me and a lot of others with its smoothness, ability to handle Stupid horsepower, and excellent jumping qualities.
This is without doubt a brilliant car.

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
I've got my MBX-6 ECO a few weeks ago from amainhobbies and the only thing I didn't like so far was that the price of this beauty dropped 30$ since I've bought mine :-(

But let's get real now.. this car is awesome built, it's a blast on my on my Castle Mambe 2200kv with 4s and it becomes a guided missile on 6s. The components of the car are very carefully pre-assembled and the steering & overall handling of the car is just perfect. Would not want to trade mine.

The car handles a bit better with a 4s battery pack and I found that the Reedy 4s 5500 60c matches the balance of the car very smoothly.

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
The car performs nice at the track and it is really quiet, not as light as the xray 808 and the quality of the car is in the middle range. In less than three months i hace managed to break 5 front A- arms, 1 front upper arm, 2 rear lower arm support that costs 22 dollars!!! and a diif case or bulkhead.

But im happy because i havent break the motor mount that costs 55 dolllars, casue at my track lot of motor mounts failed.

You can get a better buggy for a little more money, Mugen needs to do his homeworks about quality plastics and the cheesy aluminum the car uses.

I will give it 3 stars if everybody will not give 5!

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
Rx8 Combined with tekin 1900kv, proline badlands. Everything was left completely box stock with the exception of DE front bumper, and rear skid plate purchased from A MAIN HOBBIES.com.

I am sheerly a basher, and when I say this is "bashable"…. IT IS. I have personally not broken a single part yet. This MBX6e is completely dialed in and lightyears ahead of the rest of the hobby.

A+ !

Iv fitted a Tekin RX8 & 1900kv combo & with a 4s 50c lipo.....Hell yeah. The 2050kv motor must be insane. Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
This is my first 1/8 e-buggy. I installed a Tekin RX8 ESC and 1900kv brushless motor combo. I can't say enough good things about this buggy. It was hard to get used to the kind of power and acceleration, and I crashed HARD, this thing just kept on going, out of all the catastrophic crashes I only bent a rear shock shaft. There are only a couple things that need to be addressed with the kit. I'm not sure if it was the dusty track conditions or what, but only after about an hour of run time on the buggy, four of the bearings completely went out and separated. So It would be a good idea to keep a couple sets on hand. One more thing, the body is extremely thin, and it comes pre cut with a lot of venting holes in it. even if you only wreck a handful of times the body cracks, so you might want to get an additional one, or go with a different body if you like them to last a while. Overall, maintenance is a breeze (esp in the front and rear diffs), adjustments are a breeze, all the electronics go onto it very cleanly and quickly. Overall I couldn't have asked for more. Racers with other brands seem to give it a lot of attention, and this particular car has won some higher caliber local events, so it is very competitive. If you haven't bought any batteries yet, you should check out the gens ace roar approved hard case 5000mah 4s lipo packs. They are the perfect combo to the 1900kv engine. I have four of them and haven't had one issue out of them yet, and they fit perfectly. If you're on the fence I hope this review helped.

Mugen Seiki MBX6E M-Spec ECO 1/8 Electric Off-Road Competition Race Roller Buggy
Beautiful Kit!!! everything I was looking for. I went from a HB Ve8 which I liked, but I hated the way the electronics were laid out. The fit and finish of this car are awesome and so are the looks. It handels like a dream and is perfect for racing. It is expensive but if you are really into the hobby then find a way to pick one up. Sweet Buggy!!!!
