Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
i purchased this thinking of all the other 8th scale buggies Ive put together thinking i was going to wrenching on this all the time ...man was i wrong the building of the kit was the smoothest ive ever seen and i appreciate the turnbuckles being built they were exact, this car i thought had a cvd pin problem on the rear until i realized i was using the wrong one so if your building it and something doesn't fit look and double check you got the right size part ..this kit is flawless a engineering brilliance i enjoyed it and im looking forward to getting it on the track i got mamba monster with 2200kv and 15,16,17t pinions and 11.1 5000 mah with the 4-pks tx and all i can say IS LOOK OUT ..... definably worth the money

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
I didn't like the buggy very much. While it corners very well, it is extremely twitchy. It is the most un-forgiving car I have ever driven. If you make a mistake, it will punish you like nothing else. I don't necessarily think it's a bad buggy. It's got high quality parts and zillion adjustments you can make to it. Out of the box, it has a very aggressive setup that's hard to handle unless your really know how to drive. It's extremely reactive to even the smallest changes you make to the setup. That can be good or bad. It's greatest strength is it's aggressive turning (oversteer). While that can help you and a smaller track with tight turns, it will hinder you on big tracks with wide lanes. For me, it seemed faster that it actually was. When I first drove it, I thought it was great. Then I compared lap times with my other buggy. I was nearly 2 seconds faster, per lap, with my Ve8. The design is a bit suspect in some ways. The wing sits way too high for it to be all that effective. The ESC tray sits alarmingly close to the rear drive coupler. If you use a big ESC, like the Castle MMM, it could rub against it and damage the case. It's also prone to coming loose off the tray, so make sure you use high quality servo tape or a strap to hold it down. The stock front shock shafts are weak. I've broken and bent several. Use the heavy duty one's and save yourself some headaches. The CVA 's on the front and rear are a total joke. They bend like butter. I've bent several with my RC8T also. They aren't cheap either. It might have something to do with the fact that they sit so far into the out drives. I'm a smooth driver and I only bent 1 CVA on my Ve8 after two years of driving. On the RC8 I bent 2 in two months. I bent 3 on my RC8Te in 6 months. That's not good at all. I've had several buggies over the years, and this was my least favorite of all of them. Still, I've seen some drivers out there be successful with it. It was bad for me, but it can still be a good buggy for others. Just make sure you know how to tune.

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
Fun build great car!
I fell in love with the quality of this buggy right away and for the money in upgraded parts you get ... Can't beat it. Build was easy peazy everything fit perfect and I was supprised to see that the pre-assembled shocks and diffs where done correctly. TA Greased the bearings and all !
Buy it you can't beat it for the money no other buggy for this kinda change will give you all these upgraded parts for $400. I bought it behind my wife's back and for the trouble I got in when she found my receipts is worth it, although I'm grounded from buying a motor anytime soon. Sucks :(

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
This is my favorite car out of several that I have driven. The build was very easy,(just take your time) and I love the instruction book. I run the stock setup with a 1900 Tekin, smooth as silk. I do recomend the grid motor mount for easy motor removal and easy set gear mesh. I also sanded the diff cups on the gasket side to ensure a flat surface, hence no leaks.

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
I JUST GOT THE UPDATED KIT IN JANUARY 2011. THE BUILD WAS EASY, AND THE PARTS FIT SOOO NICELY! IT IS AN EXTREMELY SOLID KIT! MINE IS POWERED BY A CASTLE MAMBA MONSTER 2650 WITH A PROTEK 4S 5600 50C LIPO AND THE CAR IS A ROCKET...LITERALLY! THE STOCK SET UP IS REALLY DAMN CLOSE TO ANY IDEAL TRACK SITUATION. THE ONLY THING I CHANGED WERE THE DIFF FLUIDS, I USED 5,7,3 INSTEAD OF 5,5,5. IM COMING OVER FROM LOSI NITRO TRUGGY AND BUGGY AND IM NOT GOING BACK. TEAM ASSOCIATED WAS SPOT ON WITH THIS KIT, NO CONTEST!!! BUY THIS KIT AND YOU WONT BUY ANYTHING ELSE. EXTREMELY SATISFIED OWNER!!! LOOKING FORWARD TO BUYING THE NITRO VERSION VERY SOON!!

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
Best buggy hands down IMO. For the price you get quality and performance only thing that breaks or bends is the CVA's (my fault for runnung into the walls and pipes). I will be hopping this buggy up and racing it till it can not be raced anymore. I now own two, One for indoor track and one for outdoor track. I have not found a track this thing can not finish on yet. BUYS THIS BUGGY YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT.

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
Team Associated has got it right with any kit you buy. The RC8Be is an amazing kit, parts quality, fit, and finish is second to none! This is my fourth AE kit and through the years quality hasn't done anything but gotten better. Instructions on the kit are very easy to follow for a seasoned builder, a novice builder will need to take their time and double check build steps, but able to be built by any hobbyist. Parts are reeadily available from amainhobbies.com and fit perfect everytime. Look no further than this kit for a top of the line 1/8th scale racer. Take it from a lifelong AE owner, I have built and driven other brands, and nothing stands up to the Associated Electrics lineup!

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
I got the 1st RC8e that came out and I turned it into the RC8Be . I run this and a Losi 8ight-e 2.0 and IMO this car is by far a better running buggy much smoother never has a problem handles the track perfect the Losi is nice but I think anyone looking for a 1/8 buggy would be crazy to look anywhere else. This is the buggy that will get you winning at the track.

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
This is a great car! Fast, durable, agressive, and straight out fun. This buggy was built for the track and it shows. This buggy likes to be driven hard and is a winner right out of the box. You wont be dissapointed with this buggy. The fit and finish is top notch and the design is very well thought out.

Team Associated RC8Be Factory Team 4WD 1/8 Buggy Kit
Great customer service with A Main. The build was very straight forward, well detailed directions, and set-up. I only had one issue with my kit, one of the rear CVD hing pins was about .5mm to big and I had to grind it down with the dremel. im guessing a tolerance issue during packaging, no big deal. Great buggy so far.
