The most successful chassis in history is now available in a brushless powered platform. Same MP9 performance with the ease of electric power! Advanced components create a synergy of pure performance. With 7 World Championship victories, the most successful racing buggy that the world has ever seen has undergone its first full model change for the 21st Century. Everything down to the last ball-end has been recreated with the focus on maximum speed and performance in a completely new chassis and body development. Overall weight balance compliments the lightweight chassis that covers setting options for all inputs to lateral running characteristics.

Features:

  • Ultra Low Center of Gravity: Lightweight and optimal weight balance combine to deliver the ultimate racing weapon.
  • New Body Design: Newly developed body is slimmer and lower in height to realize aerodynamic characteristics for powerful down force and complete interior cooling.
  • More Down Force: Large bolt on wing generates powerful down force. New ribbing at the back results in improved rigidity.
  • Composite Torque Rods: Roll center can be adjusted by changing the direction of the spacer inserted into the lower arm of the rear suspension. Also, the one-piece ball and washer ball-ends are an added feature to reduce maintenance time.
  • Upright Servo: Servo is mounted upright for easy maintenance and is dropped 2mm to contribute to the lower center of gravity.
  • Extremely Light Weight: The smaller differential units on front and rear with grooved cup joints, aluminum balls and the flexing shape of resin parts effectively lightens the platform. while giving the chassis rigidity, durability and strength.
  • Wraparound Chassis Side Guards: The grooved face in side guard matches the thickness of velcro tape and prevents dirt getting inside the chassis. Complete wraparound side guards are only found on the Kyosho MP9.
  • Rear Arm Mud Guards: Mud guards on the rear arms prevent dirt entering the drive shafts and getting inside the wheels.
  • Servo Horns: 3 types of servo horns included for various R/C systems (SANWA / KO / for JR, FUTABA and Hitec)
  • Hex Screws: Kit includes complete hex screws.
  • New Suspension Design: Newly developed suspension uses bushing for easy maintenance and rationalizes the setting order.
  • Increased Diff Case Capacity: Center differential realizes improved heat dissipating brake disc and increased case capacity for stable control to the end of the race.
  • Optimal Race Settings: Fine tune for the optimal race setting with adjustments to wheelbase, tread, roll center, caster angle, toe angle and camber change.
  • EZ Motor Mount: The Inferno MP9e is equipped with Kyosho's own EZ gear mesh motor mount, all it takes is two simple screws and slide the whole motor till you get the perfect mesh.
  • Lightweight Universal Driveshafts: The driveshafts feature a lightweight design and are made from durable steel. Installed at the front, center and rear of the drivetrain, all of the driveshafts feature a distinctive black finish.
  • Standard 17mm Hubs: Now you can use all standard 17mm wheels.
  • Full Ball Bearings: Full ball bearings throughout for maximum efficiency through the drive system.
  • New Medium Rear Shock Tower: The MP9e is equipped with the latest components like the new Medium rear shock tower that helps out in difficult situations by giving you better handling in certain situations.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
Maybe it has something to do with the idiot driving it on asphalt. These are race vehicles built for racing. Not for hitting rock hard asphalt...

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
This is the best car I've ever driven. The parts quality is top notch, the assembly was easy, and the handling was just incredible. I ran this kit at the Roar 1/8 Electric Nationals at Nor-Cal hobbies in 2010 and did very well with it.

It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
This is a review section, not a "whine and moan about the price" section. That's not a review. Only two people have reviewed it so far. Knowing Kyosho I'm sure this is one of the best out there and it's price is higher than the others for that reason. Kyosho has always made high quality stuff. It's a true racers buggy and not something to beat on going up and down the street. It deserves better than 2 stars.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
Definitely the best 1/8 scale electric by far. The handling is excellent and the drive train smoothness is so far beyond anything I've ever owned, I can't even drive my other buggies anymore because this has me spoiled. I own several RC8's and an 808E and even though they are well engineered buggies, for some reason the MP9e just blows them away. Not sure what they did to this kit because I didn't notice much of a difference when assembling it. But when I got it out on the track the difference is night and day, really unbelievable how well this thing performs.

Ignore all the bad reviews, either they don't own it or don't have a clue. Of course it doesn't come with tires, what real race roller does?

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
I bought the MP9 TKI and the brushless conversion kit- which is exactly what this vehicle is with the exception of the rims. Price isn't something I'm gonna harp on- but what i will say is that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE this buggy! The kit fell together and the manufacturing is 2nd to none. I have 2x 2s 5000mah batteries w/ a mamba that make this vehicle TOO fast! It jumps great and takes a bashing. I did have to cut the body differently to fit the batteries- that was the only problem w/ converting gas chasis to brushless.

the reason im writing this review under the MP9e is that my only recomendation is to get the gas kit and conversion kit seperately instead of purchasing this kit b/c youll get the motor mounts, clutch assembly, fuel tank, and the disk brake assembly and the price really isnt but a few dollars more when you buy it seperately.

overall review is its an amazing piece of r/c machinery that i absolutely love and would recommend. you can complain about the price all day long- bottom line you gotta pay to play! i absolutely cant say a bad thing about this vehicle.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
Bought this kit for about $600 USD from my LHS and I couldn't be any happier.

Prior to this I have driven the Kyosho Inferno Ve, the Hot Bodies VE8, Hyper 8 and 9s and I've got to say the MP9e is easily the better handling of all the mentioned cars out of the box (after building of course).

The car has no problem putting the power down and is very balanced on jumps. I've put the MP9e through pretty much the abuse expected by 1/8 buggies and truggies and nothing has broken so far. No bent arms, shocks, shock towers, universals, etc. I have torn the wing off a couple of times but they're easily screwed back on.

It's quite sad that the price of this kit is so high in the US because it is actually quite reasonable everywhere else. The Nexx8 goes for about $500 USD here and for an additional some $100 USD you can buy the mp9e which is definitely a much better car.

Have owned more than 10 off road Rcs in my 7 yrs in the hobby and never have I been happier with a car. Not to be missed if you can get your hands on this one.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
I love the reviews from these fools at the bottom of the page, price is due to the fact that this buggy is a 8 TIME WORLD CHAMPION platform, it is simply the best. Kyosho has been known for years and years and years for there high quality kits and will be for years more to come. This is the highest quality electric 1/8 buggy out there. I really do not understand why people have to hate on it so much because of the price like seriously are you mad because you cant afford it or something so you go on here and right total BS reviews!? The guy who got stuff left out of his kit I really doubt that happened and if it did it was a freak accident Kyosho has the best rep out there pretty much, and if you would have contacted Kyosho America I am shure they would have shipped you the parts right away. To the guy who "Bent" there shock tower, why did you have buggy on asphalt? are you like a 10 year old rich kid playing with a $1000+ buggy in your front yard? Do you have any IDEA how hard the shock towers are on this thing?...
Best E buggy out there, drive it before you talk bad about it because of the price...

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
I bought this about a month ago(from a different store since amain didn't have stock at that time). It flipped over on Asphalt once and guess what, front shock tower just bent(not broken). Is this really 7075 T6 Aluminum made shock tower? I think they used very cheap material in designing MP9E(different from what they've used for MP9). I don't know... In addition to that, motor mount is not gun metal 7075 aluminum employed in conversion kit. They use cheap aluminum motor mount samething used in Inferno VE. I think this has something to do with their effort to cut down the manufacturing costs but it's very disappointing for a roller kit that costs over 800 bucks.

P.S. But overall, this kit is superb... That is why I'm giving two not one in rating.

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
Put it this way, of all the reviews here (including this one) does anybody see any "Verified Owners" ?? This tells you something.

goto the Electric 1/8 Buggy Kits section, sort by popularity. And take a look at the RC8Be. Why would people even consider this stupidly over priced buggy kit (with this price you don't even get a set of tires? lmao, the 1/8 Kyosho buggy world has just gone insane!)

Kyosho Inferno MP9E Limited Edition Electric 1/8 Off Road Buggy
this is the most overpriced peice of **** i have ever seen in my life!!!!! the serpent cobra 811 be is half the price, more balanced (because of the saddle layout instead of having one giant 4s pack on one side of the car like this kyosho) and the serpent has quality to match up with its looks. so screw kyosho. GO SERPENT!!!!!!
