Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
Great sct for the price. My brother 1st bought one and I was impressed by the push button start (its just cool) suspension handling and overall engine performance. I wanted to see how it held up. I was still skeptical. After about 1 1/2 gallons the sct was still running strong. No major issues ! I bought one. I have had mine for just over a month now with about 3/4 gallon thru it. Mine has been just as good with a proper engine break in and routine maintenance. Don't forget to go thru the sct and check all screws and Loctite any critical ones. Check the brakes for drag and all electronics before running. The sct handles great, has good acceleration and top speed. The suspension dials in easily with the sway bars and threaded shocks. The TEN-SCT eats my buddy's Slayer Pro 4x4 up. Sorry J. Only a few items on the sct are left to be desired. The "waterproof air cleaner" is garbage. Order a 8t filter. The screws in the receiver/battery tray are a pain. 4 screws and 2 clips hold the lid down. Ditch the 4 screws and run with clips only. Much easier to remove battery for charging. These 2 things are part of the "waterproofing" so if driving rc in water is your thing, buy a boat.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
I had it for 2 months and it's in my closet now. Between my gears, clutch going out on 3rd tank, and the maximum 7 minute run times really get on your nerves. Ran a gallon of nitro thru it and doesn't wanna start nor keep a tune. Thought about calling Horizon back for a third time but gave up. Running my team associated sc8.2e and Losi 5ive-t now. They finish the races. Customer service has been nothing but great I must say. The truck besides the motor is what reeled me in but I gave it a shot. The truck as a platform performed great when it did run and as a roller is bullet proof. U need to purchase a LIpo charger bc the one TLR includes is junk to maintain the LIpo included. I suggest also getting a backup battery as the ROSS drains the battery. O, went thru 3 starters so far.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
Purchased on Friday - have about a dozen tanks through it and just finished tuning. No issues so far, gear mesh was set right, ROSS works fine and receiver pack seems to hold a charge for quite awhile. Tx/Rx didn't come bound out of the box which was a bit frustrating but overall I'm very happy with it, easiest nitro to break in and tune that I've owned.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
Bought this truck as an upgrade from my Nitro Slash<---don't waste your time or money... back to the SCT it is amazing out of the box everything looks great and works as advertised. Break in is really easy, don't drive like a bat out of hell for a few tanks, tune the carb, and then proceed to crazy train mode. Even with the throttle setting in "M" it will shred just about anything btw will run with or better than electric short course trucks. Everything seems strong enough for bashing and big jumps but it's true reason to be run is in races. Ok now that I've kissed TLR's butt with the last few comments here is what prevents it from getting five stars Spur gear is exposed and will try to eat anything and everything in loose gravel/dirt/rocks etc etc, this causes the plastic spur gear to get ruined. The other thin while I'm on a gear rant, there are no optional gears for this truck, so you better like what you got or spend the money to convert to LOSI 8 gears. Last thing is the fuel tank is too small! It works great if you have the attention of a goldfish and don't enjoy running your truck for more than 10 minutes. Things I recommend when buying this truck 1. Bigger Fuel tank 2. TLR tune up kit (great buy and upgrade) 3. RPM A-arms 4. no less than 2 spare spur gears Enjoy this truck it is a great buy and provides a lot of entertainment!

I have had this truck for about 5 months now. After having a few small issues which were fixed very quick (thanks horizon support) this truck is hard to put away at the end of the day. Running bone stock on a loamy track, this truck handles real good. Always been an associated guy, but thinking of trying losi's 22 trucks if they handle as good as this.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
This truck is great!!! This thing is the fastest stock sct made hands down. However this "RTR" is not really for someone new to the hobby, nor is any nitro in my opinion. It takes time and some skill to tune and break in a nitro motor, the manual says no motor break in is required that is stupid they ALL need proper break in. Be sure to have someone help you tune this motor and break it in if you are unsure on how to do it and it will be a great truck for you. BEFORE you run it check all the bolts (many of them are loose from the factory) and set the gear mesh, (crush a post-it note between the gears if you don't know how). I have 10 tanks through mine now with only the last run reaching full throttle, and now this thing is a rocket!!!! Buy some extra glow plugs, the DYN2495 is the one they call for and seems to work the best. The first few runs on a nitro motor will usually use up some glow plugs. Use a hair dryer or heat gun on the head on the motor to help the ROSS system, this motor is TIGHT when new. The run time is a little short with the small tank, there is a conversion found online to put in the 8IGHT buggy tank and mounts in it, I did this it more than doubled my run time. A-MAIN has by far the best price on this truck they beat some places by $200.

This is a great truck...also have a slash and this thing rocks. A little tight to work on, Ross works great handles like a champ !
You will probably need to adjust the gear mesh comes a little too far spaced as seen in other reviews you can easily strip it. Make sure you tighten all the screws. Had the truck out racing a number of times and works great ! Add this to another losi best along with the 8ight series.
Great truck for the price. No complaints.

Spur gear went on 4th tank. Does anyone make a metal gear? That's my only issue, and the small tank.

Great Nitro truck for the money. I bought it just to bash around with had problems unable to get the motor to tune in. Horizon has the most excellent customer service they assisted me in finding out that the original motor had a major defect and also the center diff had stripped screws I found then getting spur gear changed. the company sent me a new motor and center diff. now the thing runs super awesome. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
this is my very first nitro RC and it doesn't fail to me. it was very durable and great handling out of the box.
I removed the ross system and use a starter box instead, all you have to do is buy the lower engine mount and non-starter
engine backplate from Losi. ( LOSB5034 + TLR53000 ) Great truck and I recommend it to every basher and racer, its just
good in both world.

Absolutely great truck and great service from A main hobbies!
except for one thing; weight of truck.

ROSS is comfortable system to start engine.
however, it also add additional weight on truck. Therefore, when landing after high-jump, there is a more additional impact on truck. You have better prepare some spare suspension arm parts for it.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
this truck is great, it handles well from the start, recommend giving it a good going over before starting it, checking the engine mounting screws are tight and gear mesh is right, I would lock tight all screws, I have run it so much I'm on a new engine now. the ross system works well, just don't keep cranking on the engine if it get's flooded or hard to start and it will hold up fine

this truck is well worth the money! nice job losi.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
after a gallon of fuel this truck is bad to the bone, on the indoor track with some BK bars 5,7,2 in the diffs 27.5 front shock and 32.5 rear hard to beat, pull the trigger, clears the monster triple with ease, runs with the full mod electric class with power to spare, on problem I had the link from the throttle servo to carb and breaks popped of leaving it run wide open till a marshal shut her down, no damage though. awesome truck.

BAD A** Truck. Did not know how fast this truck ran due to only having a single gear transmission compaired to my Traxxass nitro 4 tech that I have had sense 1999, but VERRY IMPRESSIVE. Did brake the center diff gear & called support after the 4th run. They sent me the new gear free of charge after several questions. It's been running great ever sense. Verry happy with this truck. Thanks!

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
Truck is great, chassis and suspension are very tunable and durable. As soon as I opened the box I went over the truck and checked mesh, all screws and bolts, and ran a break in. The remote is great, you can switch the throttle range so I just put it on low and ran the truck. After 2 quarts it runs great I don't have any problems with the ross system. The stock tune is pretty good requiring just a little adjustment on the high speed and idle, yet the body is super cheap, I was expecting it to last, yet the 3rd crash I had it tracked at corners. Some upgrades you will need: Larger 125cc fuel tank, another body, and different shock oil. IDK why Losi didn't use the truggy tank, it fits perfect with the addition of one new hole to drill, and it makes for 15+ min run time.

Team Losi Racing TEN-SCT Nitro 1/10 Scale 4WD RTR Short Course Truck w/DX2L Radi
Nice looking truck is about where the complementary part of this review ends. I am not a serious racer but I do like to attend and race in the local races. So I did not feel like spending the extra money to buy the race roller, now I just wish I could return the truck for something different. As with several other reviews that I read the spur gear went out on the first tank of fuel. I realize that this is a cheaper version of the race roller, but it should still have a steel spur gear for a nitro engine. So then I looked online to see if I can find a metal replacement for it and there is not one available. Next I thought I would try the diff from my 8ight-T and I thought maybe that differential would work in this truck, but even though the chassis are almost identical they changed it just enough to where you cannot use the 8ight-T or the eight buggies differential in this truck. So until Losi decides to pull their heads out of their rear ends and make a metal Spur gear for the center diff in this truck I'm rating this a one because I have never had a truck break something on the first tank of fuel. Oh One other quick thing please if you're not going to put a decent steering servo in then let me make the choice of spending a little bit extra money on a decent steering servo, you don't put a steering servo in this size truck with plastic servo gears.

The spur gear went on the first tank, and have stripped two spur gears since then. After only 8 tanks the truck will not start. Customer service is not as good as people claim it to be, will not replace the damaged parts. IMO save your money and don't buy this truck, not worth it.

I built one of these, they are great trucks.... mind you almost everything on this as well as the TEN-SCTE are BONE stock. Handles great out of the box... even on 1/8 scale tracks (which I DO NOT recommend). There is a large assortment of upgrades out for these trucks. If you are concerned about the fuel tank size the 810 fuel tank is a common upgrade from the Ten-T.
