Traxxas Slayer Pro 4WD Short Course Race Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz Radio)
This is my first nitro powered truck, and it has been a pleasant experience so far! After a gallon of fuel I've only broken a rod end, and that on one of many high speed tumbles on concrete. The wind does like to scoop in under that body at high speed and mess with your day, but thats kind of an intrinsic thing with a short course truck. After hearing folks who've been in the hobby for a while say they would never buy another nitro I was a bit worried, but the EZ start system has never failed to work as advertised and the engine is plenty easy enough to tune and maintain with a little attention to detail. Break in is boring but necessary, follow the manual and its over soon enough. I love those inboard shocks, and the trucks larger footprint seems to help out a bit. It really takes off if you have enough space to hit that second gear! I couldn't be much more pleased with my first nitro truck, and because of that it won't be my last...
