This is the Team Losi Racing 22SCT 1/10 Scale 2WD Electric Racing Short Course Kit. Nothing beats experience, especially when it comes to engineering a performance-driven race machine like the 22 SCT. To create it, TLR engineers used all the knowledge and experience they gained from developing the revolutionary, championship-winning 22 platform and took it to the next level.
Designed to be a champion the 22SCT barrows the majority of the innovative features that make the 22 platform a contender. Right from the start, the ability to choose either a mid or rear motor configuration is unlike any other SCT on the market. This will allow SCT drivers to tune the ride they want depending on the track style and surface they are racing on. This gives the 22SCT a global appeal for those who are currently running a mid-motor set-up, as the driving characteristics are similar. Other key features include a 7075-T6 aluminum chassis, full ball bearing equipped, heavy duty 4mm turnbuckles, optimized motor and transmission placement, two full sets of wheels (8 wheels total), dish inserts for the wheels and all metric hardware for ease of maintenance.

I have always been an Associated guy (I still have my pristine 1994 RC10 Worlds Car) but I decided to try Losi. I am not disappointed at all. Great truck, great value (love that they included the mid-tranny gearbox) and it drives like a dream.
Thanks to Losi and Amain Hobbies.

The design of this truck is very well thought out. The tolerances are pushed to the maximum, and very little, if anything is left on the table. This is an expensive kit, when you add in electronics, tires, paint, and other supplies you'rre easily looking at $1000's or more for a competitive truck. That being said, the parts included are top of the line, and unlike other cheaper kits, you won't have to upgrade anything on the stock 22SCT kit to run well.
The truck runs well on the track. I have a Traxxas Velineon system in mine, paired with a high speed Savox servo. The stock setup is far too soft for carpet, but may work better on other surfaces. With the right setup, this truck is as fast as anything else out there. It's incredibly smooth. I have driven the SC10 but not enough to say conclusively that the 22sct is better. However it's my opinion that the 22 is a better engineered vehicle.
Since I've had this truck, I've broken one steering knuckle and stripped the idler gear. Both of these issues were because of my error and not the trucks. I know from my 22 Buggy that this chassis design is very string and very durable.
My only complaint is with the body. The plastic and the design itself are too weak. The body started to tare and crack immediately. The windshield area is too close to the fender and does not provide enough support during a flip. Likewise, I think the Lexan itself is too thin. I've since upgraded to a much more durable Pro-line body. Additionally, the body posts are un-necessarily bulky and use and uncommonly small hex bolt.
Other than the issues with the body, this is a great truck. If you're a racer, this truck deserves your consideration.
