This is the Team Losi Racing 22SCT 1/10 Scale 2WD Electric Racing Short Course Kit. Nothing beats experience, especially when it comes to engineering a performance-driven race machine like the 22 SCT. To create it, TLR engineers used all the knowledge and experience they gained from developing the revolutionary, championship-winning 22 platform and took it to the next level.

Designed to be a champion the 22SCT barrows the majority of the innovative features that make the 22 platform a contender. Right from the start, the ability to choose either a mid or rear motor configuration is unlike any other SCT on the market. This will allow SCT drivers to tune the ride they want depending on the track style and surface they are racing on. This gives the 22SCT a global appeal for those who are currently running a mid-motor set-up, as the driving characteristics are similar. Other key features include a 7075-T6 aluminum chassis, full ball bearing equipped, heavy duty 4mm turnbuckles, optimized motor and transmission placement, two full sets of wheels (8 wheels total), dish inserts for the wheels and all metric hardware for ease of maintenance.

Features:

Team Losi Racing 22SCT 1/10 Scale 2WD Electric Racing Short Course Kit
I am very impressed with the quality of this truck and how forgiving it is. I am by no means a great driver but this truck is making me look much better. The build was a pleasure. I personally think you have to build it for it to run its best. RTR's are great, but you really don't know whats going nor what to do to quickly remedy issues.

I have always been an Associated guy (I still have my pristine 1994 RC10 Worlds Car) but I decided to try Losi. I am not disappointed at all. Great truck, great value (love that they included the mid-tranny gearbox) and it drives like a dream.

Thanks to Losi and Amain Hobbies.

I own two of these kits and I cant tell you how durable they have been especially my wifes she hits a lot of walls considering its her first truck and the only thing she has broke is a spindle. I couldn't ask for a stronger truck that handles this good. The only thing I would say is get the good serated nuts for the wheels cause u will spin a left rear hub for some reason if u don't.

Really great platform look, out of the kit setting good performance, but the front arms always i'm always replacing after every race, the arm connected to the part of the lower bulkhead where it starts to kick up, gets scrapped fast and thins out, then you land wrong snap goes the arm. performance wise it not to bad.

I have been a Team Associated guy the whole time I have been in RC racing. I was a little bet skeptical buying this truck. The instructions are a little confusing but overall not too hard to put together. After buying this truck I have found that out of the box set-up is the best. Before I tried different shock oil and none of them worked as well as the box set up. Once I found out my gearing and got the right shock oil this is the fastest truck I have ever had. I added about 2 more laps and shaved my fast lap down to a 17.9 in Stock SC. Overall I feel that it is a great tuck and this is by far the best one I have ever owned.

After all the looking and waiting, I finally got this truck. The reviews made me pick this one over Associated. I'm very glad with my choice, the build was cool but the manuel sucks!!! If you were good at building legos from just looking at the pictures as kid, then you will go fine. I put the truck to the test on a clay track the other day. It lived up to what everyone else says, it's as smooth as can be. Still trying to adjust the steering because it won't turn all the way to one side but will the other. But it is so quite compared to the Associated trucks on the track at the same time. Just have to finish tuning in the motor and the steering and it will be ready to race. Awesome truck and highly recommend this truck over the Associated. I still want to add a 4 x 4 to the collection.

This is a great truck. The kit was an easy and fun build. The instructions are, for the most part, very clear. All the parts come in labelled, and sub labelled bags. Each bag contains only the parts you need for that specific section of the assembly. Every part was well molded and manufactured. There were zero defects or issues with assembly.

The design of this truck is very well thought out. The tolerances are pushed to the maximum, and very little, if anything is left on the table. This is an expensive kit, when you add in electronics, tires, paint, and other supplies you'rre easily looking at $1000's or more for a competitive truck. That being said, the parts included are top of the line, and unlike other cheaper kits, you won't have to upgrade anything on the stock 22SCT kit to run well.

The truck runs well on the track. I have a Traxxas Velineon system in mine, paired with a high speed Savox servo. The stock setup is far too soft for carpet, but may work better on other surfaces. With the right setup, this truck is as fast as anything else out there. It's incredibly smooth. I have driven the SC10 but not enough to say conclusively that the 22sct is better. However it's my opinion that the 22 is a better engineered vehicle.

Since I've had this truck, I've broken one steering knuckle and stripped the idler gear. Both of these issues were because of my error and not the trucks. I know from my 22 Buggy that this chassis design is very string and very durable.

My only complaint is with the body. The plastic and the design itself are too weak. The body started to tare and crack immediately. The windshield area is too close to the fender and does not provide enough support during a flip. Likewise, I think the Lexan itself is too thin. I've since upgraded to a much more durable Pro-line body. Additionally, the body posts are un-necessarily bulky and use and uncommonly small hex bolt.

Other than the issues with the body, this is a great truck. If you're a racer, this truck deserves your consideration.

This was a great build, even for somewhat of a beginner like me. everything went together really well and the instructions were really clear. I haven't had a chance to drive yet, but once I do, I will edit this and tell you guys how it did.

Team Losi Racing 22SCT 1/10 Scale 2WD Electric Racing Short Course Kit
I had been racing Team Associated before and was wanting to get into the 2WD Short Course class so I read serveral reviews on this truck and the AE truck. I will say that this truck is extremely forgiving on jumps straight of the box with the stock setup. The only thing I have changed is pinion gears and tires. This truck always seems to be planting and drives well. I am not a great driver but I do OK but at the last 2 races I have competed in with this truck several people complimented me on how well the truck drove. I had to tell them that it was not me. I built the truck exactly like the instruction and stock setup showed. The truck is also extremely durable. I have taken several bad spills in the races and practice and have only broken one part (right front hub). I clipped a part of the wall the had a lip to it and it just ripped the whole tire and hub assembly off. This truck has been amazing and it actually made me get rid of my Team Associated T4 and buy the TLR 22T and it is just as amazing as the TLR 22SCT.
