If your lookin to just kill some time with a mini, get a losi mini sct. I own a variety of different rc's and this by far is my least favorite. The ride height is extremely low, the motor gets blistering hot, and if you take it to a track dont plan on hitting even the smallest of jumps. Not to mention how easy it is for the smallets clumps of dirt or rocks to get stuck in the steering. Just wasnt happy with it comparing it to all the other mini's.

Team Associated SC18 1/18 Scale RTR 4WD Short Course Truck w/2.4GHz Radio
I purchased two of these for my 6 y/o son and I to play with around the driveway and cul-de-sac. Great bang for the buck! This was my first 1/18 scale of anything and it took some time to get used to especially wrenching on something so small compared to my 1/8 nitro off road stuff.

We have probably over an hour of use on each and have experienced zero issues. The servo saver/bellcrank system is pretty poor and the OEM shocks leave very low ground clearance. But again...for $159 RTR, this is a great buy.

I recommend upgrading the steering rack, replacing stock SC18 shocks with OEM 18T rear shocks, and use 18T rear blue shock spring for the front and 18T rear silver shock spring in the rear. Those two upgrades made a world of difference. Still running OEM electronics which are fast enough for me and my son to have a blast.
