Named “Truck of the Year” by the editors of Radio Control Car Action and “Best Electric Truck” in the Readers’ Choice Awards, the award winning Slash now includes a TQi 2.4GHz radio system for precision control and clarity, licensed BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain™ T/A® tires mounted on color-molded beadlock SCT wheels, and new team replica paint schemes!

The full-scale short-course race trucks embody the spirit of Traxxas R/C with their extreme 800+ horsepower racing engines full-throttle, dirt-roosting power slides, giant suspension travel, and Supercross-style big-air jumps. Slash brings all the action home so you can experience the high-speed head-to-head competition at the track or in your own backyard. The Slash was inspired by the TORC (Traxxas Off-Road Championship) Pro 2WD class. The 4-wheel independent suspension has been carefully tuned to replicate the Pro 2WD driving and handling experience as closely as possible. The tires use a licensed BFGoodrich® Mud-Terrain T/A tread design and sophisticated rubber compounds to provide incredible grip off-road with enough versatility to also perform well on concrete and asphalt. The fenders cover the tires for wheel-to-wheel racing without getting tangled up. The Traxxas Slash is equipped with Traxxas' exclusive watertight, sealed electronics. They provide the freedom to drive where you want to drive through water, mud, snow, and other wet-running conditions that wouldn’t have been possible before. Slash is truly brushless ready with a waterproof digital steering servo, full ball bearings, metal gear transmission, Torque-Control™ slipper, planetary gear differential, and high-quality metal turnbuckles. Traxxas Slash is fully assembled and Ready-To-Race® for immediate out-of-the-box racing fun.

TQi Radio System
The Traxxas® TQi™ radio system arrives with a full complement of tuning features, long-range 2.4GHz signal, and proven Traxxas reliability for rock-solid performance. It's so advanced, it doesn't even need an external antenna. The TQi radio system is equipped with superior Direct Sequence Spread-Spectrum (DSSS) technology, fully programmable features, and the convenience of patent-pending Traxxas Link™ automatic model recognition. The transmitter’s easy-to-use design provides the instant, worry-free, turn-it-on-and-go driving fun you expect from Traxxas, while also delivering pro-level tuning features for those who wish to explore the expanded tuning possibilities. The Multi-Function knob on the face of the transmitter can be programmed to control a variety of functions such as steering exponential, steering and braking dual rate, and throttle trim. Other tuning options include end point adjustment, servo reversing, and sub trim adjustment. The TQi 2.4GHz transmitter pumps out a strong, clear signal for optimum range. The 13ms frame rate and near zero latency results in instant steering and throttle response along with precise, smooth control. The TQi is compatible with the optional TQi Docking Base and Traxxas Link application.

Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batt
I love this truck. This is THE truck that started the Short Course craze. This was my second r/c car and it really got me into this hobby. It's got the scale looks of the real thing, which is cool. This truck is very fun to drive. It's also water proof and very stable. Durability is off the charts. With front/rear bumpers, big body and nerf bars, it's well protected from nearly anything you throw at it. It comes with a very underestimated Traxxas 12T motor. It's a 550 motor and it has tons of torque. On a 7-Cell NIHM, it flies. The electronics that come with it are, IMHO, the best you can get for an RTR. The XL-5 is a rock solid speed control that's water proof and can handle 2S lipos. Mine have lasted for years. The servo is very underrated. It's got adequate speed and plenty of torque. Never broken one. There are many many hop ups out there to customize it for any and all applications. While this truck is simply the best for "bashing" around with, it's not the greatest racer. Sure you can race with it and do well, but it's not a pure racer like some others out there (SC10, XXX-SCT, etc.). It makes sense since it was never intended as a race truck in the first place. However, there are plenty of hop ups you can get out there to turn it into a fine racer. Pro-Line has a race suspension kit. STRC makes a low LCG kit that will transform it into an elite racer. Just to name a few. The point is, you have plenty of options as to what to do with it.
There are a few things to remember with this truck to keep it in tip top shape. You must frequently check the motor screws for tightness. If they come loose, you will loose a spur gear. Always set the pinion mesh according to the manual. After each day out in the dirt, clean off the motor and put a dab of bushing oil on the f/r bushings. Replace the stock gear cover with the RPM cover. This will keep most dirt from getting in the case and prolong the life of your pinion/spur. Follow these simple recommendations and your Slash will run great and never miss a beat.

Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batt
The traxxas slash1/10 2WD short -course truck is a good starter. The change over from the old motor to the new was easy. I had to put a lot money into it to go fast, VLX3s 3500 full set up. 150.00. I still need a lipo battery & charger$$$$$$

Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batt
Hey guys. So basically here is the rundown on the Traxxas Slash 2wd.

With the slash you will first find that the truck itself sits very high, putting the center of gravity a few inches off the ground. The brushed motor is terrible only allowing the truck to reach very low speeds. UPGRADE TO BRUSHLESS IMMEDIATELY. The stock tires are even worse than the motor. To sum this all up in short terms. Good for little kids, but serious drivers, STAY AWAY. The design is a good one, but it was poorly executed. Had to transform it into a truggy with all of these stock setbacks. Here is my transformed brushless traxxas slash truggy video below. CHECK IT OUT!

Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batt
Bad Traxxas Support: I buy about 4 kits a year, but this is my first Traxxas product. I bought this slash to race in a local spec slash class. Truck arrived and front right wheel was wobbley when it rotated by nearly a quarter of an inch (but clearly secured to the vehicle). The plastic was deformed during manufacture as indicated by the paint line on the bead which held a steady line when the deformed wheel was spun. Called Traxxas support yesterday and they said unless it wobbles more than 1/4 inch, they would not deal with the issue and i would have to buy a new set at my local hobby shop. So their standards of manufacture allow for a 1/4 inch variance in the wheel accuracy. I am ordering another $20 set of wheels and that will be the last Traxxas product ever buy again. Unless those are defective. Then I will just have to buy some more.

To sum up, I would avoid Traxxas and get an Associated or HPI if you can. I have called them before and they are awesome about replacing parts if they are defective.

Traxxas Slash 1/10 Scale RTR Electric 2WD Short-Course Truck (w/TQi 2.4GHz, Batt
This Truck is an insult to off road racing, it is a boat, although it is practically indestructable it is the worst handling car that i have ever driven. It is fun for some time but it is useless against a sc10, and if you try to upgrade it, it gets worse
