This is the Vaterra Kemora 1/14 Scale RTR (Ready-To-Run) Electric Rallycross Car, with an included Spektrum DX2L 2.4GHz radio system, 4500kV brushless power system, one 7.2V 1200mAh 6-cell battery pack and a quick charge battery charger.

Near the Arctic Circle, outside Veteli, Finland, is a place where the forest reverberates with the howl of 600+ horsepower, turbocharged engines. The place is Kemora - 1.7 miles of serpentine track coiled into one of Scandanavia's most challenging race courses. Here, many of the best rallycross drivers in the world go head-to-head. But it takes more than sheer horsepower to win at Kemora. Its hairpin turns and shifting driving surfaces demand superb throttle control, a mastery of drift physics and a whole lot of nerve.

You grab the transmitter and pull the trigger. The Kemora rallycross car leaps forward like a shot as its brushless-powered, four-wheel drive sends dirt flying. Racing toward the street, you can see, and feel, the four-wheel independent suspension deftly absorbing any humps or bumps. The pavement closes in. You give the wheel a sharp left, break the rear wheels loose and countersteer right to hold the drift. Gravel spec, rubber tires give a satisfying chirp as you slide onto the street and they grip the pavement. Another stab of the throttle and you're off again. This is the total RC rallycross experience. This is the Kemora.

In-Depth Features:

  • Total Rallycross Experience: Grab the wheel and go for it! The Kemora is engineered to let you race, drift and jump across all types of terrain, exactly like the 600+ horsepower rallycross cars its modeled after.

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
If you are not yet aware the Kemora and Kalahari are both based off the Losi mini-8. While I'm not sure what all is but a lot of parts are transferable between vehicles being they are all Horizon products. Great cars for excellent prices, and a lot of great performance for a smaller chasis vehicle. I've had mine since august and can't get enough of it! Once I switched to 2s and 3s lipo's and worked through the throttle adjustments the car really came alive, adjusting the suspension and dirt track with big jumps became easy especially in dusty conditions. Found a few issues like tires are not glued properly and gears can strip if not properly adjusted for Lipo power but I think these are minor problems for an rtr.
You cannot beat the price especially for what you are getting, four wheel drive/ Lipo ready/brushless/water proof/awsome controler/ fully adjustable suspension and a growing list of hop up parts.

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
best RTR i have got ever! we started a new class at our local indoor carpet track. For the price its a steal imo. Alot of parts from the mini 8ight fit directly onto this RC which is a nice option. This was a cheap spec class we started and its working out great at the local track. To put it this way for $160 and your own transponder we where doing laps around 11.3-11.9 sec at a 28lap pace. While these $1000-1200 Shortcourse builds (losi22sct) ect... for a nice race truck are running about the same times. 11.0-11.6 sec at 28-31 lap pace. so like i said hard to beat the price and quality out of the box and for them to run times like that compared to other race rigs its actually kinda funny. we are running these stock RTR with 2s lipos (DYN1476). cheap and fun was the idea for the class

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
Bought my son a Traxxas Rustler for Xmas. He would not give me a turn so I bought this. This car is a blast. I added a 11.1 3s 1300 lipo. I GPS this car at 44 mph. Alot faster than the Rustler. I purchased so indoor track tires and off road tires. Could not be a better car for the money. Off road, Drifting or just High Speed Runs. Best value for RC cars..... Just order the Kalahari Body and off Road wheels. The Kemora body rubs in the grass

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
This is a fun little car.
It's just a little step down from the 1/14 Losi mini 8ight.
All I have done is gone down a tooth on the pinion and a hardened pinion gear and use my Lipo Cells.
This thing really drives great and has been a blast. I do mostly street and low grass with my son and it does excellent.
The price drop is great.

I would recommend getting a few extra spur gears even though I have not stripped out any.
Just like any RC car if you do gearing changes, make sure you keep it reasonable and look at the temps of the motor and run times.

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
I couldn't be happier with this car. It's my first RC car purchase. I thought I would be wishing for the LiPo battery right away, but being a novice I absolutely don't need it at this point. The car is fast out of the box, and I couldn't believe the traction on the ice and snow. It has all the features and tune-ability that I'm looking for. Super fun and well-built!

Vaterra Kemora 1/14 4WD RTR Electric Rallycross w/DX2L 2.4GHz, Brushless, NiMH Battery & Charger
Super fun! I love this thing! Seriously takes a beating. I have a whole track built up for it here. Built like a cat as it always seems to land on it feet... Even after rolling 10 times! I have a 2000mah lipo in there and its perfect. I have to set it on medium throttle or its completely out of control. Had to fix my spur gear a few times now but nothing else broken. The little allen head screws kinda suck tho. Ive stripped a few and had to get a few new parts because of that but all pretty cheap. At $200 you cant go wrong.
