This is the Team Associated SC18 1/18 Scale Brushless RTR 4WD Short Course Truck. The SC18 Brushless comes loaded with a plethora of features, including the XP2G 2.4GHz radio system and Reedy brushless power!
The SC18 Brushless features a chassis with a fully enclosed, 2-belt drive train system with an adjustable slipper clutch that is capable of handling the extreme amount of power that today’s brushless motors and LiPo batteries can dish out.
The SC18 Brushless comes fully assembled with a painted and decaled short course race-truck body, AMT Forged style wheels, aggressive tread multi-terrain tires, all designed to look just like the full size race trucks that run in short course off-road series around the country. Team Associated SC18 1/18 Scale Brushless RTR 4WD Short Course Truck w/2.4GHz Radio
This seems to be a pretty stout and quick little truck. I haven't actually owned this incarnation of the rc18, but i've driven the b2/t2, and it handles really well and gets great forward acceleration, even with a brushed motor. I was racing at an indoor track and a guy had one of these. I struggled to keep up with it on the straightaway, that's some pretty lofty performance. But when the corner arrived, i accidentally threw my hulking castle powered sct at it at full speed and ran it over. It had no damage on it , as for the sc18, not a scratch. My losi just rolled over after hitting it. Great durability! The only problem is if something goes wrong with the transmission, same problem with the sc10 4x4, belt drive system is a bit of a nightmare to work on, and smaller hardware doesn't really help. Overall, this is a very very good newbie rc truck, or for someone who just wants to run rc but doesn't want to wait for the rain to stop. I highly recommend this truck to anyone, in any of it's forms B2/T2 or SC18
