Losi 1/18 Mini-Desert Truck RTR
So I picked this up at my LHS for $130 with the intent to turn it into a brushless beast. After about a month of work, I finally got everything dialed in. Hobbywing 25a esc, tacon 2030 7800 kv brushless motor, spectrum radio. It is fast! Even on nimh the car reaches about 30mph (stock gearing). Of course I installed the ball diff and dual disc slipper from losi immediately. Didnt want to take any chances. My overall impression after putting about 25 packs through it: very good car now but of course I did sink about $200 worth of upgrades in it. I did run it stock for a while too just to see how it did and as a straight out of the box rtr it is pretty sweet. Get it if you intend to run it stock. Otherwise, just pick up a mini e-revo. The merv I got ended up costing less at the end than the mini desert truck. And the merv is incomparably better. Which is why I gave this car a 4. Good for stock, not worth it to upgrade.

This is a great truck to have fun with in small places. It is fast and will spin out and slide. You can't go wrong for the money. I would recomend this to anyone who is looking for a small rc.
