This is a optional MIP Ball Differential Kit. MIP has created a new concept in adjustable ball differentials. Every racer knows how a ball diff improves handling. The MIP Slash Ball Differential is designed for today’s high demand brushed and brushless power systems, and fits all Traxxas Magnum 272 Transmissions. The Slash Ball Diff features a moveable output shaft to enable “In-Car” diff adjustments, a sealed thrust assembly for more runs between rebuilds, 15 diff balls arranged in a larger diameter, and is engineering grade molded of high strength hardened alloy steel for durability and wear resistance.

MIP Ball Differential Kit
Update to last review... I cannot recommend this diff to anyone running anything other than a bone stock brushed slash, rustler, etc. This simply cannot handle the power in a brushless system. I went through my second rebuild within a couple minutes of running this, the brushless setups are just too powerful and slippage is impossible to avoid which melts the main plastic diff gear and destroys the bearings almost immediately. Yes, I had the diff adjusted properly, stick with the stock magnum planetary diff and you will save yourself a lot of frustration and $$... -//- I put this into my Brushless VXL Rustler and was hoping it would be better than the stock planetary gear diff. IT was a big buzz kill when I ran it for a about 3 minutes and realized that the main diff gear had melted and the diff was useless. You're thinking I either had it too tight or too loose right? Perhaps too tight, definitely not too loose tho...... I'm ordering the diff rebuild and giving it one more try. Kinda sucks because it's another $15 bucks on top of the $40 already spent. I'll update this after I get time on the rebuild.

MIP Ball Differential Kit
Don't waste your money on this, it blows! And it's a real pain in the ass to adjust. I guess that's why MIP doesn't even make it any more!
