This is an optional Motonica Two Speed Gearbox Kit, and is intended for use with the Motonica P81. This optional 2 speed kit for the P81 series nitro cars is lighter (overall), and built with smaller parts, but is now more reliable with increased consistency.
Tech Tip: Installing a thin shim (like what is found on a standard glow plug), over the layshaft before installing the 2 speed assembly will help to prolong the life of the 2nd gear.
NOTE: The major parts of this 2 speed unit (gears, shaft, one way, adapter), are not compatible with the standard P81 2 speed.
