This is the Pro-Line Pro-2 Low Center of Gravity Performance Conversion Chassis, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Slash 1/10 scale short course truck. The 2WD Slash is one of the most important and successful vehicles in the History of RC because it brought affordable scale realism to the masses. Since its release, racers have been modifying and hopping up every aspect of the vehicle to improve its performance but they have always been stuck with a chassis that is 2 inches too high… until now! After a long time of design, development and testing, Pro-Line is proud to release the Pro-2 Performance chassis, which has been specifically designed to bring your Slash up to racing specifications. Every feature you would expect to find in a high-end race chassis is now available for your Slash. If you can only do one upgrade for your Slash, no question Pro-Line’s Pro-2 Performance Chassis is the one to get!

In-Depth Features:

  • Super Tough 7075 Aluminum Chassis: Short Course trucks take a beating and nothing is as durable and long-lasting as Hard Anodized Aircraft-grade Aluminum. The super narrow and sleek Pro-Line chassis extends from the front bulkhead to completely underneath the Transmission for complete protection and uniform stiffness front to rear. Everything mounts down the center-line of the chassis for perfect side-to-side weight bias. Installation is also easy with Instructions included and each bag of parts separated by assembly steps. Each part bag is also available separately for replacements directly through Pro-Line.
  • Completely Adjustable Weight Bias: The Battery and ESC placement are easily adjustable to achieve the ideal weight bias for your track’s current conditions. The Battery can be placed from all the way in front, right behind the laid-down servo, to the very back against the shock tower. That gives you 7.5” of room front to back to find the ideal spot for the heaviest single component in your vehicle. The ESC can be placed either directly on the chassis for the ultimate in Low Center of Gravity or on the removable Top Deck to allow the battery to slide underneath. Pro-Line engineers also accommodated “Shorty” battery packs to give you the option to run a super-lightweight setup. When you need more steering, simply move the battery forward and when you need more rear traction, slide the battery back. It’s that easy!
  • Durable Aluminum Servo Mounts and Steering Posts: The servo is secured by beefy Hard Anodized Aluminum mounts that lay the servo down for the lowest center of gravity possible. The Pro-2 Performance Chassis kit also includes Aluminum Steering Posts for the strongest and smoothest steering rack mount possible. The Servo area also features Blue-Anodized Aluminum washers and spacers to give it that Pro-Line Blue touch.
  • Jet Fighter Inspired Side Pods and Bumpers: The side pods reduce chassis flex and provide a convenient location for the Velcro battery straps. The functional and removable side bumpers are inspired by Jet Fighter wings and finish off the futuristic look of the Pro-2 Performance Chassis.

Features:

  • Transforms your Vehicle into a True Racing Machine
  • Ultra-durable Hard Anodized 7075 Lightened Aluminum Chassis
  • Completely adjustable Weight Bias by Battery and ESC Placement
  • Aluminum Servo Mounts and Steering Posts
  • Jet Fighter Inspired Styling and Design
  • Replacement Part Packs Available Separately

Includes:

  • Completely unassembled LCG Chassis Conversion

Pro-Line Pro-2 LCG Performance Conversion Chassis
okay, this is a major upgrade to the original slash chassis. but honestly, if youve got 18 more dollars, check out the fireracing anza chassis for the slash. very similar to this but with carbon fiber instead of plastic and a few other goodies that in my opinion make it a better chassis. dont just go for all the name brand stuff. google a few reviews on the anza and see which one youll like better.

Pro-Line Pro-2 LCG Performance Conversion Chassis
Just finished assembling my kit the other day. Looks sick finished. I have it loaded with lots of STRC aluminum and a new Proline trans. Its Outfitted with RPM plastic where possible, and a Novak 8.5 brushless with a GTB esc. Almost no stock parts except the front bumper and body mounts. There were a few things to note that were difficult with build. Proline trans fits beautiful. RPM bumper does not mount easily to Proline trans without shims to line up in center on this chassis. Maybe make some kind of chassi protector pads for the bottom as well to keep the chassis clean looking. Could possibly upgrade the radio and esc mount to a slick aluminum one instead of the plastic. The plastic esc mount panel was flimsy and not tall enough to mount a esc with a fan under under the plate. This made it difficult to put both the radio and esc in the car nicely. I fabricated an aluminum plate and then I mounted my esc on the top and the radio to the underside of the plate. Worked well and is easily removable now. Recommend this chassis instead of a rtr if your looking to have the sickest looking truck out there for a similar price to traxxas best short course kit.

This chassis does exactly what what the decription says! Why spend $300 on a car kit to see if you want to get into racing. Purchase one of these chassis, bolt all your slash componets on and a set of proline tires for the track you are running and your good to go. I have been running mine for 4 months now and this thing rips. The best thing of all is that you can purchase all the proling upgrades (transmission, shocks, steering, etc) to fit this truck as you get faster and faster on the track.
