This is a optional Xtreme Racing LCG G-10 Chassis, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Slash and Rustler 1/10 scale vehicles. This Low Center of Gravity (LCG) G-10 chassis is the ultimate upgrade for the Slash or Rustler.

NOTE: This chassis will extend the wheel base when used with the Traxxas Rustler.

Xtreme Racing Traxxas Rustler/Slash LCG 2.5mm G-10 Chassis (Black)
What a performance upgrade! Wow. If your looking to improve your lap times with the Slash....this is the ticket. Easily knock 1-2 seconds per lap off your best times with this new chassis. Makes the stock Slash jump,corner,accelerate, and all around handle much better than before.
A few things of note:
The supplied hardware is hit and miss. I had to use my own screws for the joining of the top and bottom plates into the support posts.... the supplied screws were too long.
It uses the AE battery strap system so those (4) screws are standard while everything else is metric.
The battery strap system is soo snug against the top plate, it's not super easy to change batteries ( I have to remove 2 of the 4 screws from the top of the battery tray to get my battery out - some other people I know do too...some don't...just depends )
I spoke with Xtreme about it and they say an updated top plate is on the way that will provide more clearance to remove and install the battery with greater ease.
You can still use the front and rear bumpers, but you lose the side nerf bars.
Instructions could be more accurate and detailed but the install is virtually a no brainer. Swap steering rack. Mate top and bottom plates. Bolt on the front and rear assembly of your Slash. Swap electronics and voila.
Overall:
The performance far outweighs the minor inconveniences and I have no regrets with this purchase. I would buy another one at the drop of a hat. I consider it a MUST HAVE if you are not racing in the STOCK Slash Class but are trying to compete in Short Course Racing with said Slash.
Performance deserves a 5 star rating, I dinged a star for the battery straps and hardware issues only. Future production should have those things remedied.

Xtreme Racing Traxxas Rustler/Slash LCG 2.5mm G-10 Chassis (Black)
I think I bought my chassis back in 2010. Just gave the car a run after it had been on the shelf for awhile. I'd forgotten how well it handles! I'm running a Pro-Line Pro Track suspension system. It handles really well. Has been to many race meetings and mild bash sessions. Never broken a thing.

Huge improvement for this truck!! This chassis makes a backyard basher a huge competitor in the newly popular Short Course scene.
