Kyosho 2-Speed Transmission Set
Great 2 speed. That is great probably for the GT2. I Bought this unit for my GT1 and found the front drive shaft was too long. Was told to buy [KYOIFW307] drive shaft this didn't work either. I had to modify the original shaft in my original 2 speed transmission to fit the original drive shaft. I think the review by Francis Yan is great that should work. I didn't even know that that part existed. I was looking everywhere for a shorter shaft like this one HPI86057 part number. I haven't tried it but I'm sure that length will work perfectly without no other modifications. Again this was my experience with using this item on the GT1.

Kyosho 2-Speed Transmission Set
I've had this transmission for over 6 months with no problems at all. It's a very well built upgrade for IGT2. I run it with the Werks Pro clutch and the combo is tremendous. I love it.

Kyosho 2-Speed Transmission Set
got this new 2 speed installed on my gt1 and gt2 long time ago and race it w/ out any problem at all.

for GT1 i used the HPI center shaft from savage since you need a shorter center shaft to fit in there. the one comes on the kit is for GT2.

GT1 are shorter than GT2

Kyosho 2-Speed Transmission Set
The included shortened shaft for the new tranny is still too long. It binds in the drive cup. At least it does in mine. Still can't drive my GT2 that I've had since April and have driven only maybe a total of 30 minutes. I'm convinced this car is cursed, cutting my losses and tossing it.
