This is a optional ST Racing Concepts 17mm Hex Adapter Kit, and is
intended for use with the Associated SC10 truck. This 17mm hex
conversion kit allows Associated SC10 short course truck owners to put
on high-traction 1/8th scale buggy tires for increased performance and a
wider selection of tires. Each piece is machined out of high-quality
aluminum, and using a unique set-screw behind drive pin design, you’ll
never have to worry about loosing a drive pin. The rear 17mm hex are
offset slightly wider to provide the SC10 truck with more stability in
the rear.

These are nice for the money but there is one flaw! The rear hubs are only held in by the hex pin, which allows the adaptor to sort of “wobble” on the axle. It’s not a lot of wobble but translated into the rim and tire it becomes pretty bad. So bad it’s causing one of my dog bones to jump around and make a ton of noise. This would be easily fixed if the original wheel nut could fit inside the bore of the adaptor. I noticed aka adaptors use a small plastic nut to solve this problem which is actually a good idea and I may try and fabricate something similar. If you buy these be prepared to deal with this problem.

Yes I purchased these on the look of the machine work. What a mistake. As stated the front hubs are easier to fit but are flawed as well. I had to use needle nose pliers to secure the original wheel nut into the front hub recess. The rear recess is so deep even if you found a nut to fit inside you wouldn't be able to find a socket spanner etc to screw it down. Kendal take them off your shelf mate they are crap. I have seen the AKA option for the rear and will probably try them.

Poor fit, poor design. The machine work looked nice at first. Once I opened the package I saw no directions.....no problem, looks straight forward enough. After installation i noticed extra slop at the wheel that causes variable and un-predictable toe and camber. Any gains made with the buggy tire were lost in poor design work. I don't think these were tested at all! An e-mail to the company with constructive suggestions yielded no response. The front design is great! The rear is a deal breaker!
