This is the Reckward Tuning Speed 3 Automatic Offroad Racing Clutch with 35mm flywheel. The Speed 3 clutch design separates two functions. Initial engagement and the force applied to the shoes after engagement. In a conventional clutch set up the thickness of the installed springs is used to determine the RPM setting that the clutch shoes engage at, or the "clutch stall". The heavier the spring the higher the clutch stall. When fully engaged, the heavy springs are also directly countering the overall application of force of the shoes against the clutch bell once the shoes. Using a heavy clutch spring can result in a clutch set up that has the right feel or "snap", but the clutch would slip at full engagement due to the low amount of pressure applied from the clutch shoes against the clutch bell. This drawback in the conventional design has been overcome with the Reckward Tuning Speed 3 Automatic Racing Clutch, but applying full pressure to the clutch bell once the clutch shoes are fully engaged! The Speed 3 has been extensively tested by Daniel Rekward, all Reckward Tuning Team Drivers and other Expert Pro Drivers. An impressive number of international races has already been won with this clutch during the testing period.
