This is the Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" sliding clutch system. Based on the original sliding clutch principle, Fioroni has taken it one step further to produce a clutch that provides maximum and consistent power, minimal maintenance, and very long wear. The Turbo Sliding clutch uses two springs that fit into the clutch shoes and then the clutch shoes themselves are loaded inside the flanged flywheel. The result is a clutch with a large contact patch and even yet aggressive engagement. The black shoes grab harder for more low-end punch. Requires "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch Shoes. For use on SG shafts only.

Fits (Losi/Mugen)

  • Team Losi 8ight/8ightT clutch bell is compatible with the "Turbo Twin 2007"

Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch System (Losi/Mugen)
i love it ,i am going to try milling away some material then weighing them for as much balance as possible in order to make the shoes lighter along with the harder springs ,and to the person who doesn't understand review after you have used the product ,the forums have people answering questions right from the company (sometimes)and other customers that have tried every alternative use of the said product thanks and have a nice day

Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch System (Losi/Mugen)
Installation went fine...BUT i'm experiencing a down low bog and i already went one size clutch bell down with no luck.
Will 2 hard springs make the difference?

Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch System (Losi/Mugen)
Another update!! I have about 8-9 gallons on it now!! Running as strong as it ever has. All I have done is replaced the springs with the option hard springs every couple of gallons. -//- Just an update on my previous review. I now have close to 5-6 gallons atleast on it. only thing i did was change out the springs for fironi hard springs at about 2 gallons. awesome clutch. still looks almost new. and feels the same as it did on day 1. definately would buy another, actually I will be soon. IMO this is the Best clutch Period!!! -//- Awesome is the word for it!!! I ran mine for the first time this past saturday at my local track and it was amazing!!! it grabs better than a normal aluminum clutch and has absolutely no wear after several tanks of racing!!! I wish i could give it ten stars!!

Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch System (Losi/Mugen)
I use this clutch in both buggy and truggy. clutches are mounted in jpx.21,grp.21,jpx.28 and grp.28 engines. If your .21 engine doesn't have a lot of bottom end use stiffer springs. This clutch is the best I have used it grabs awesome and will last you along time. I have at least 5 gallons on clutch shoes and they still look good. I have replaced the springs once at approx. 5 gallons when the springs get stretched they weaken and your clutch will engage at lower rpm.

Just curious, do you guys install the sliders with the spring side facing the motor, or facing the clutch bell? I've always installed mine facing the motor, but I saw pictures of someone's online with the springs facing out. Even with the brass washer, it seems to me that if they face outward it would be easier for debris to get into the srings, especially with a vented clutch bell.

Fioroni Black Carbon "Turbo Twin 2007" Sliding Clutch System (Losi/Mugen)
By far the easiest clutch to work on, can service it in almost no time since the spring is much easier to work with then the smaller springs on most other clutches.

I have about two gallons now on mine and am still on the first set of shoes. A great clutch.

This clutch is amazing. It boosted my lap times by at least 3 seconds. its alot quicker to engage than the stock and lasts alot longer.
