"The ExTech "II" .24 engine will give Truggy Racers that extra power they desire, that a .21 size engines can't offer . In the past the .28 size engines were the only option to get this extra power. And with fuel efficiency being a big part of the pit strategy at today's events the .28 size engines are rarely seen at full competition racing. That's where the ExTech "II" .24 engine stands out. Not only is the power equal to some .28 engines, but the ExTech "II" .24 will get the run time of a typical Race .21 size engine.

It's the design of the Extech "II" .24 that makes this engine the power house that it is. The square Bore and Stroke (17.17mm) and Long Rod (29.997mm) design gives the engine a better balance, which increases power and efficiency throughout the power curve. Not only does the .24 have the bottom-end power of a typical Race .28, but has the upper rpm power to keep pulling you down the longest straight you may encounter.

Until now most .28's or .25's size engines have used the .21 size engine stroke with a punched out bore. And typically use the short rod (29.48mm) of the 21 engine. That's not the case on the ExTech "II" .24 Truggy Engine. The Bore / Stroke have been increased and squared to give better performance throughout the entire power curve. Offering the best power and fuel efficiency from any race engine out there!

Fully Modified Engines are blueprinted and hand assembled to guarantee precision parts fit, longest engine life and best possible performance. The exact same procedure as the Race Prepped engines except the following changes have been made to offer more usable rpm and power.
  • Connecting Rod is machined on Mill to be lightened, and then treated to strengthen and eliminate machining stresses.
  • Piston is lightened on Milling Machine while maintaining strength and integrity.
  • Crankshaft has undergone extensive R&D testing with different ratios of balance between the Crankshaft, Piston, and Rod assembly. All this testing has helped develop a lighter better-balanced crankshaft, while keeping proper crankshaft inertia for a smoother idle.
  • Port Timing has been adjusted to offer a more proportional feel across the bottom-end with a noticeable increase in the Mid and Upper rpm power.
"Fully Modded" version features:
  • Matched piston and sleeve
  • Flow tested carburetor
  • Blueprinted
  • Broken in
  • Tuned & Dyno tested
  • Spec sheet
  • .24 displacement, Bigger bore, super square.
  • The first dedicated truggy engine, not a re-badged .21 or monster truck engine.
  • More speed and power than .28's etc.
  • Better fuel mileage than other truggy engines.
  • 5 port plus 2 by-pass on sleeve.

Trinity ExTech "II" Pre-Run "Full Modded" .24 Competition Truggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
A friend spent his hard earned cash on this pile and it lasted a short period of time. Stick with RB or OS you'll be much better off. And "pre-run"? By who!!!? If it was my choice I'd rather break it in that's just part of the fun isn't it? Would you spend $600 on a new truggy that came in a box that was marked "pre-run" and was already dirty? Not me...

Trinity ExTech "II" Pre-Run "Full Modded" .24 Competition Truggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Setup: Team Orion EFRA 2057 Tuned Pipe / O'Donnell #97T / O'Donnell 30% Fuel / Losi 8ight T 2.0

This motor is just insane. I've been into RC for over 20 years and have used just about everything. The full moded version is really as nice of a nitro engine that I've ever owned. I'm not sure who does the work, but it's really top notch. The first thing I did was to clean out the motor and then seal up the carb and backplate to ensure a perfect tune that would hold all day long. I'm surprised they don't do this. After the first tank at stock setting I was already impressed. Running very rich it still ran great and had decent run time. I knew this was going to be a great motor. After about 20 minutes I started tuning for a full race setting. I kept leaning it out and leaning it out, the carb required a lot of turns to give "noticeable" results. I ended up giving a full turn and a half on the high speed and a full turn on the low speed to achieve optimal results for the weather that day.

I've now got about a gallon of fuel through this thing and it's just a screamer. The bottom end with the EFRA 2057 was good, I added the extension for the pipe and it became very good. NOT the most umph of the motors out there, but very good for racing, controllable and predictable. The top end is great, it screams up to 40K which I find simply amazing. It's got solid power through the entire RPM range, a very useable powerband.

Runtimes are great. I'm getting 8-9 minutes on 150cc at full race conditions in 70-75 degree weather. I consider that to be excellent. It's spot on every time too. I've got my controller set to beep at 7 minutes and have never run out of fuel during a heat. I know I could lean it out even more and get longer run times, but I don't think it's worth it as I like the performance and it's running at 190-200 degrees. This is money well spent for a racing motor. I'm very happy with them and will probably continue to run them for the foreseeable future.

Lastly, what kind of MORON writes a review, that isn't a review but rather asking questions about a product they know nothing about and giving a 2 or 3 star rating. Seriously, you're MORONS. Go to a forum to ask questions, or better yet, a TRACK where people are racing and actually know what they are talking about. Come on out to Rev or Thunder Alley and I'll answer any questions you have about the motor, and we can compare lap times.

Trinity ExTech "II" Pre-Run "Full Modded" .24 Competition Truggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Draxan, Use 30% Trinity PLatinum for best performance, run time, and engine life.. Tune it good on top end then the bottom end.. Your temps will be right at, or under 200 degrees (F). I've seen 3 of these engines and all of them run cold with tons of power.. I'm picking one up for next years out door season.. One of the engines has 6 gallons through it and another has just over 3.

We leaned one out to get it to run around 230 , and it was a ballistic missle on wheels.. Richened it back up and was still crazy fast.. But, temps came back down to about 190.. Amb temp was in the 40's, but I've seen it run that same 190 temp at 90+. And, 9 minutes run time has been average.. But can see 10.5 without much trouble..

Just a killer engine..

just got this motor, looks very sweet, but who ever puts the motors in the sirio engine boxes should be slapped, had to take mine apart and clean the motor out, had foam and cardboard box trash inside motor from not having a carb cap or no glow plug in it, heck i would have settled for a zip lock bag. oh well, she's back together now getting ready to fire up im sure i'll be happy. does anyone know who blue prints these motors I heard eb mods..

Trinity ExTech "II" Pre-Run "Full Modded" .24 Competition Truggy Engine (Turbo Plug)
Hallo,
Sehr empfehlenwert!!!
