This is the updated Team Line .21 B7 Pro Competition Off-Road Engine from Werks Racing. The New B7 Pro features an all new crankcase design along with a long stroke piston/sleeve and turbo combustion chamber. The Pro-C line of engines now come standard with a Ceramic rear engine bearing, for improved performance!

The crankshaft is of a new design as well, in addition to new timing, the inlet has been lightened and ramped with an epoxy filler. The face of the crank of course is fluted and has been balanced with a tungsten insert. We haven't stopped there, the new 2-stage carburetor has a smaller 9mm slide that improves air velocity just below the venturi insert.

The engine uses a slightly revised lightened, low CG head design like that which was found on the existing B7. For the rest the B7-Pro only shares the carb pinch bolt, collett, exhaust gasket and head screws with the existing engine....it's all new baby! More torque, more mid range, more top end, not more fuel consumption! The motor screams and ironically it uses less fuel than the old engine. Based on testing this will be one of the fastest motors on the market! So if you really want to see what "Speed" is like, get your hands on the new Werks Racing Team Line B7 Pro!

All components are hand matched at the factory for the tightest possible tolerances guaranteeing the best possible performance.

New Stiffer Case Design
It still maintains the look of the old case but with an additional stiffening rib that wraps from the base of the carb to the exhaust port. This is to control expansion of the case around the sleeve which allows us to maintain tighter tolerances between the case/sleeve fit. This is critical to always ensuring that under expansion (from heat) your sleeve always maintains a perfectly cylindrical shape. Case also receives a black coating. New for the 08 Spec. ceramic rear bearing.

New Piston/Sleeve
The piston is completely new and lightened plus it is now a domed piston design for increased compression.

While the sleeve maintains the B7's namesake 7 port configuration it is completely new. Revised timing and a new smaller bore (long stroke design!). Tear dropped transfer ports & chamfered lower sleeve for improved fuel flow.

New Carburetor Design
It's now a 2 needle with a fixed mid-range. Stillcomposite with replaceable reducers (8mm stock). Idle screw is mounted on the top so no exhaust in the eyes. New taper to the needles. Reduced diameter of the slide results in improved derivability and quicker response to throttle inputs.

New Long Stroke Crankshaft
Crank has also got almost everything done to it that you can possibly do including.... drilled (lightened), epoxy stuffed induction ramp and tungsten balancing weights! (Basically it similar to that of a Speed engine)

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
These are so reliable and fast its crazy!! The other post I agree 200 deg is way to cold for this engine 230-260 is normal on these. I have close to 9 gallons on one of mine and its just finally about done!! Never changed bearings or rod. I think a lot of it is how you break in,tune and keep clean filters. At 200 deg for 2 gallons the engine never got up to proper operating temps........ -//- this is not the same engine as the Sirio CL7B. timing is totaly different. it is smoother than the cl7b with less bottom end but same top with better runtimes. If you are running in a truggy you might be wanting more bottom end than this engine will deliver. Super reliable perfect for buggy, but a little weak for a truggy on the bottom.BUt the bottom is not bad .super reliable engine! -//- Great engine, this engine idles all day long! Super fast, and easy to tune. I have had no problems whatesoever . I tried a losi re-11 and got 11.5 minutes per tank at revelation, but the power was down with that pipe. Switched to a losi re10 and lot better power and 10.5 per tank., this thing rips! I want to try a 2013 but they are expensive and get damaged easily, I want to stick with strong pipes that can take a beating.Maybe you have another problem and its not the engines fault that the crank is breaking? MAke sure your clutch bell has enough clearance from the chassis to allow for some chassis flex without the clutch bell hitting the chassis. If you see a wear mark on the chassis under the front of the clutchbell, maybe that is your problem?

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
So. As I said before. Carbs and front bearings SUCK on all new Werks engines. Replace them when new with Tko bearings front and back and switch to a novarossi carb before break-in to avoid damage. Hopefully Werks will fix these problems in the future. If not I will not recommend or purchase a single one. -//- Bought this engine 2 weeks ago. Broke it in and ran fine for the first race day. Second race day the carb has a leak and the front bearing is leaking after only a gallon and a half. 2 issues that the updated engines had supposedly fixed. I sent Werks an e-mail and am waiting on a reply. This is a fast engine. Slightly lacking on bottom but once it hits the pipe its a rocket to rival any high performance engine out there. But when you have an unstable idle and fuel mileage problems because of leaks, performance is all for not. At this point if the problem is not fixed for free, I might as well bought a piece of crap axial, duratrax or hpi engine for half the price and have the same problems. My rating for this engine is very bad. If these problems are resolved for me in a timely fashion and do not occur again rating is very good. Because without these problems I have NO complaints.

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
Well some good, some bad! Break in was easy, and as previous reviews earlier have said, this engine has a top end like no other, and it is VERY smooth. I have found this makes it a bit easier to drive, compared to say a V-spec which can have so much snap down low it can lead to easy fish tailing on non blue grooved tracks, the b7's smooth pick up helps a bit. Hold of tune has been simply outstanding, as has plug life, I change after 3 race meets as precaution only. Rear bearing went after 15 litres (4 gallons), and put a sh#t load of metal through the engine, piston scratched and scored badly. But I thought I would try and experiment and see if it still goes, so bought some new ceramics for it. Amazingly it still went magnificently even with scored piston! Alas this was only for another 3 litres, then piston went to a million pieces last race meet, and I discovered the fastest way to ruin new ceramic bearings! But I loved the performance so much that again just for fun, I have purchased piston, sleeve, bearings and con-rod (original was getting quite sloppy). All would be good for my rebuild now but the piston and cylinder didn't come with wrist pin clips. A-main don't stock them by the looks, they are no where else around, the werks website has them for 12 usd + 18usd postage (they must be sending them business class), so I will have to see if perhaps other brand wrist pin clips are o.k to use. I have also purchased a brand new one when they were on special for $259, for that money even if each one only lasts 4-5 gallon, I'd say its still worth it. Two of mates also bought one each when they were on special, just because they were tired of me passing everybody down the straight! (oh and they look killa, get a lot of questions and comments, they are quite a rare engine is Aus).

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
Common fact: never temp tune. When the piston/sleeve are not running at their correct expansion 220-250 it puts pre-mature wear on the piston/sleeve causing it to loose its metal pinch and compression. So, break the engine in running about 220-240 keeping the temps that high in order to get maximum life The Piston/sleeve does not expand till 100* C and even then you should break it in at a higher temp

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
This engine is awesome. I put one in the wifes buggy and she ran it in and slowly started leaning it out. This weekend we put the first race tune on it and it is fenominal. She asked me to fatten it up some for her becouse it was way too snappy. She has the WERKS adjustable clutch on it so we just adjusted the clutch some more to her likings.
Thanks Werks for alway's being there to answer our questions and making sure A-Main has the parts in stock that we needed.
AWESOME FUEL TOO!!!!

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
Ok so i've had this engine for about 5 gallons runs great and all that BUT! Just don't expect to buy any spare parts for this engine. There is ZERO parts support for this engine, ie; con rod, carb retainer, p/s, etc... I've email werksracing.com and have been told that parts will be here this/that month and i'm tired of it. -//- Good engine so far, had about 4+ gallons on it. However,… I’m in need of a con rod for it as it’s developed some slop. No big deal thou. BUT!! Parts support for this engine is not very good. The con rod has been on back ordered ever since I’ve had this engine which was around December(from what I noticed). Other sites including werksracing site seem to have the part on back order. I’ve emailed werksracing and they told me that the part should be in around “mid June”. Well see how things go. -//- I just got done breaking it in. Very easy to tune and to break-in. I'm running the JP-3 pipe on this. I like it so far.

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
Was in the market for an engine for my new RC8 FT. This was my original decision, but was also debating the new Reedy. Actually had the Reedy on backorder after being told by "another retailer" that it would absolutely be in stock first week of April. By mid April it was not in stock and they couldn't say for sure when it would be. Cancelled the backorder when I saw this one on sale for $259 and in stock. Had to pre heat the heck out of it to get it to turn (even with the Ofna Truggy box, so you know this thing is TIGHT). Fired right up, idled like a champ, and broke in very smoothly. Still have a lot of tuning to go, but even running very rich (210-215 range and spitting lots of fuel and smoke) this engine hauls!! Running it with a JP-3 pipe (not the "recommended" best pipe, but a Werks rep told me the JP-3 wouldn't hurt the performance at all) and I'm very impressed. Wasn't expecting a great low end, but it comes off the line and out of the corners very fast. Will also idle as long as I want and tear off the line with NO hesitation whatsoever. Thank you AE/Reedy for not having your engine in stock (sure it will be a heck of an engine though). Great engine, Werks!!!

By GOD Mike Ive not been smoking anything and my engine has less than 2 gallons ran through it an its shot- very little compression- Ive been into nitro engines for over 30yrs. This engine was broke in properly and never ran over 240 degs. Most generally I ran it between 175 and 195 in a Matrix Pro buggy I have NEVER had an engine give out this quick in my life, but they do run like hell-- for a while lol

Werks Team Line B7 Pro-C .21 Off-Road Competition Buggy Engine (Turbo Plug) (08 Spec)
Hallo,
Sehr empfehlenswert!!!
