This is the Sidewinder 5700 Brushless Car Package (5700kV) from Castle Creations! Finally, affordable brushless power for the people! Castle’s new Sidewinder brushless ESC series slashes the brushless price barrier while it blasts across the track in all 1/10th scale applications. Sidewinder is a great first high-performance package; it will provide more power and grins than most guys (and cars) can handle!

Castle’s engineers have achieved breakthroughs in circuit board thermal design and have combined those advances with cutting edge electronic components to bring unmatched power and reliability to sport 1/10th scale vehicle drivers. Castle’s leadership in this field allows us to drive the component pricing to unprecedented levels which means that we can pass the savings on to our drivers. Brushless power and reliability have never been available at these price levels!

The Sidewinder ESC is ready to run out of the box, but it is completely Castle Link™ compatible too – drivers can use their Castle Link and Windows PC to tune and tweak all their favorite settings such as brake and throttle curves, throttle response, drag brake and many other parameters that add up to an incredible RC driving experience.

Use all the power handling and custom tweaking of the Sidewinder with your brushed motors too. That’s right, Sidewinder is easily configured to run conventional brushed motors for those who may need to run brushed to compete in some racing classes. One controller can provide the solution you need!

Sidewinder is available with our 4600kV and our 5700kV motors. Drivers can mix and match gearing and the number of cells that they are using to create a power system that can be mild or a raging wild thing with either motor. Both motors will make the cars go insanely fast; the 4600 will generally result in a more driveable car with finesse on throttle; the 5700 is more like a big block in a 60’s muscle car.

The 5700Kv motor is our choice for the best all-around 10th scale buggy and truck motor. From fast on the track, to insane bashing speed runs, the 5700Kv delivers! On 6 cell NiMH or 2s Lipo packs, the 5700Kv motor has been clocked at 40mph in standard 10th scale buggies and trucks with standard gearing. The 5700Kv motor is roughly equivalent in top speed to a very good 9t or 10t brushed motor on 6 cells.
