Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T)
It's a great motor! Been running it hard for about a year now and no problems what-so-ever. Smoother throttle response, great top end and acceleration. The guy who had his "Melt down after two runs" most likely did not know what he was doing and either overgeared it or set the esc wrong, or tried to run it with a huge battery, or on a vehicle that was just too heavy for it... etc, etc. I can run this motor (17.5 specifically) and a Tekin RS ESC hard all day and it will be fine even with out heatsinks and fans all over the place to keep it from overheating.

Bottom line, If you want to race stock class then this is a great choice. If you want to do speed runs back and fourth in front of your house, then you'll probably kill this motor as you try to squeeze more and more top end out of it. And it's not the brand.. it's just that it's a 17.5! it's meant for stock class racing!

Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Almost sounds like there is confusion going on here. A 17.5 is the equivalent to a stock brushed motor. The benefit being is it is sensored and brushless so you get that great longevity. It is a great motor for the stock class. It is not suppose to have a lot of power or torque, its a 17.5..

Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I got this motor thinking it would have lots of punch, power, low end torque... boy was i wrong. I am very unhappy with this purchase. I took it out after one race day, trying different gearing, batteries, etc... it would hardly clear jumps that all other trucks were clearing with ease. My sons truck, build just like mine, performed much better running an Orca. Not happy (AE SC-10)

Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Worst motor ever, weak breaking and very short power band. Basically on and off switch.

Tekin Redline Sensored Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Practically guaranteed to melt itself down after a few runs. Avoid!
