This is the Reedy Sonic 540 Mach 2 17.5 Turn Brushless Spec Motor. Small modifications have been made to the already competitive Sonic series to enhance performance, reliability and user-friendliness. An alloy end cap replaces the plastic version to prevent unwanted movement that could potentially make changes to the timing, but also helps to provide improved bearing alignment. Strategically placed vent holes are now slightly smaller to reduce the chances of debris getting inside the motor while still maintaining excellent airflow. Changes found internally include updated bearing sizes to help increase maximum RPM and to improve reliability, and silver-plated solder tabs reduce power-robbing resistance.

The precisio-balanced, high-strength sintered rotor has not been changed, and a variety of optional rotors are available to fine-tune for specific applications and tracks. Meets all ROAR, EFRA, and IFMAR specifications.

Features:
  • Lightweight design
  • Optimized air flow

Reedy Sonic Mach 2 Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I installed this in my SC10 2wd to race the stock SC truck class at my local club. This thing is wicked fast and runs really cool. It looks awesome also, the quality of the unit is evident when you look at it. Could not be happier with this motor.

Reedy Sonic Mach 2 Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
I was running Novak Ballistic 17.5 on my Tamiya 417V5 and it was burning hot after 6 minutes heat and was not happy with the performance, I have replaced it by Reedy sonic 17.5 and God what a difference!!! with the same gear ratio and same car set up, I managed to drop my lap time by a solid 1 sec and it was much cooler after 6 mins heat! great purchase, you will not go wrong with this....

Reedy Sonic Mach 2 Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
This is our first venture into the world of 17.5t. Installed this motor in a Durango DEX210 buggy and it has way more power than the 13.5 speed passion that it replaced. Temps barely at 100F after a full pack at 40* can timing. Time to gear up!
So far, I'm very pleased with the Reedy.

Reedy Sonic Mach 2 Spec Brushless Motor (17.5T)
Fantastic motor. After hearing the D3.5 motors may be banned I started exploring new motors. I got this one at my local hobby shop and installed it in a Losi 22sct. It is very smooth and responsive with similar power band to the Trinity/Fantom motors I usually run with no noticeable difference in top speed.
