MRC Super Brain 989 Pro AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH, Li-Poly w/RB126 Balancer)
Unreliable. Great while they last. Expensive warranty, slow warranty time, unrepairable under warranty. I have two. I purchased them brand new about 4 months apart. Each one can charge and discharge a single battery Nicd, Nimh, lead acid, lipo at 10 amps. They give very useful info during and at the end of the charge/discharge that way you know if your battery is performing as it should. You will love it when its working! HERE IS THE BAD PART: charger #2 started randomly shut off and randomly showed an erratic lcd display less than a year after buying it! And charging the same battery on charger #1 and charger #2, charger #2 always puts in 500-700mah LESS but .5+ more volts in the same pack (according to their displays). It was still under warranty so I paid a warranty fee PLUS shipping to have MRC check it out. They sent it back over a month later with all of the memories cleared and a loose power supply cord (power supply cord was not loose when I sent it in). So I had no choice but to solder the power supply cord so I could use it and guess what? I used it and it STILL randomly shuts down and has a random erratic display and charges less but puts in more volts (according to the display). At this point I thought well its a bum charger and my other one still works BUT in the last month charger #1 started randomly shutting down and having an erratic display. In all fairness I estimate charger #1 has at least 270 combined charges and discharges and charger #2 has about 200 combined charges and discharges. I did get over 1 year out of each though and they still randomly work.

MRC Super Brain 989 Pro AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH, Li-Poly w/RB126 Balancer)
Very nice charger. This is my first lipo charger and found it very easy to setup the profiles and use. There is a lot of talk about the quality in which these charge lipos and I have had problems with charging my Losi Lipos but I think thats more of a battery issue.

MRC Super Brain 989 Pro AC/DC Peak Charger (NiCD, NiMH, Li-Poly w/RB126 Balancer)
Fantastic, fully capable, and flexible charger. The "autocycle" feature is giving me some trouble with very low discharge rates (_ 0.20 amp), but other than that it's great!!! Highly recommend this charger...

Wow this will charge anything I have. I was powered up and charging in no time at all. The 989 is so easy to use and i'm new to this hobby. If you don't know a lot about chargers or charging than this is the charger for you.
