The all new Bantam e-Station BC8DX sets the standard for features and functionality with a ease of use that Bantam e-Station chargers are known for. The e-Station BC8DX features two completely independent, but identical 200W high-power outputs. As a result, BC8DX can charge or discharge up to 44 cells of NiCD/NiMH or 16S Li-poly batteries simultaneously! Additionally, the dual-fan cooling system is so efficient that it can produce this power without any trouble of overheating.
The e-Station BC8DX is a true dual channel lipo balance charger. Each channel is independent of each other, meaning essentially this is 2 chargers in 1 compact box that share a huge 128 x 64 backlit LCD display! The display shows you not only your battery statistics, but also charge and discharge graph's right on the chargers display!
Lithium battery charging
The Bantam e-Station BC8DX supports the three most common lithium battery types used in RC applications, Lithium Polymer, Lithium Ion, and Lithium Iron Nanophosphate (A123 Systems). Each lithium type has its own low voltage and high voltage parameters and the Bantam e-Station BC8DX has these pre-programed for you. Just select the lithium type and you are ready to go. The Bantam e-Station BC8DX supports several charging/discharging programs for all lithium battery types including Normal, Balance, Storage, Fast, and Discharge.
Nicad / NIMH battery charging
The Bantam e-Station BC8DX supports both charging, discharging, cycling, and formation charging of NiCd and NIMH batteries, up to 22 cells. The Bantam e-Station BC8DX supports 3 types of NiCd/NiMH charging. Normal charging, Linear charging, and Reflex charging. Each charge mode treats NiCd and NIMH cells differently. When the Battery has high internal resistance, the Bantam e-Station BC8DX has the ability to delay the peak detection from 1 minute up to 15 minutes. The Delta Peak sensitivity also has 3 parameters, Default, Disable, and Delicate. The Delicate setting allows the charger to detect very minor variations in the delta peak voltage which some NiMH batteries may require.
Screen Display While Charging
The Bantam e-Station BC8DX will show you the battery information on the LCD display during the battery charge or discharge process on the display. The display will show a graph of the battery charge or discharge curves, individual cell voltages, as well as temperature, capacity, time, and mah input and output. All of these parameters are individually viewable.
The Bantam e-Station BC8DX charger is the most complete functional charger available on the market today.
