This is the ProTek R/C 2S, 100C 5500mAh Lithium Polymer saddle battery pack with a hard case - the perfect saddle pack battery for 1/10th scale vehicles! This battery is ROAR/EFRA approved and built using a hard plastic case that is required for use at sanctioned tracks and events. The packs are thin enough to fit into all touring cars and off-road vehicles that would normally accept a saddle pack battery, and is easily secured in vehicles designed for saddle pack NiMH race packs.

Note: Some vehicles may require some re-balancing if the light weight of these batteries cause some handling changes. To get the vehicle to balance correctly, add some weight to the battery side of the vehicle.

Unlike most other Lithium Polymer batteries, these batteries can be charged at up to 2 times the rated current, or 2C! If your charger is capable, you can charge these batteries at 11A!

IMPORTANT:
1) DO NOT leave the battery in your model when charging
2) DO NOT leave unattended when charging
3) ALWAYS balance charge the battery
4) ALWAYS use a LiPo charging bag
5) YOU MUST use a Li-Poly specific charger to charge the pack (NiMH or NiCD only chargers WILL NOT WORK!)
6) YOU MUST not over discharge the Li-Poly battery pack
7) READ & UNDERSTAND the instructions carefully before operating this battery

NOTE: When using high energy Li-Polymer Batteries, please do not over-discharge or over-charge batteries as this will result in over heated batteries. Discharging capacity can't exceed 80% of the max capacity of the pack after full charging to ensure a good cycle performance. It is recommended to fully charge a brand new battery before using and only discharge the battery 50% for first 5 cycles. Always monitor race time and/or set a low voltage warning on ESC (End voltage cannot be lower than 3.2v per cell) Do not use the battery that has too low a voltage.

Do not expose batteries to sunshine or store/charge batteries at the temperature above 35°C or in a closed car. The high temperature environment could cause damage to the pack or make it burst. If the battery becomes hot while fast charging, high current discharging or racing, do not charge the battery until it has cooled completely. Wait about 20 mins, then inspect prior to recharging.

These fit perfectly fine in my B44.2, you know you can adjust the straps for better fitment by uncrewing the silver post and the lock portion right? The only thing that you may have to do is reconfigure the jumper between the cells, that is a minor issue and is to be expected depending on the layout of different vehicles.

Pice of junk i use them 3 times and inflate this is the second claim
i use trinity and nanotech never inflate.

Sadly I am updating my previous review on these saddle pack batteries. The original set lasted almost a year then puffed just short of turning into tennis balls. I got some new ones to replace the originals and 6 months or so these are beginning to show puffing beyond any acceptable limit. I always balance and never charge above 6 amps, my electronics are tekin, lrp and spektrum.
To say the least I am disappointed with this purchase and won't travel down the protek battery path again.

I use these batteries in my 22-4 and couldn't be happier with the performance!! I don't have many races on them yet but I don't seem to have any issues with them puffing.

Excellent update from the previous versions which were already good as well. Easily fits into cars and balances well each and every time. I've got well over 100 cycles on my first pack and it's running as strong as it was new. Also note, the internal resistance is nice and low, good for those of you who race stock.

I bought these for an Associated B44.2. Saddle packs do not fit well. The interior 4mm bullet connectors that come with batteries hit the top deck bad. I had to cram them into placement just to get them to work. Battery straps are stock, ASC9906, and won't close without some muscle, batteries are too thick.
