This is an optional MIP C-CVD Kit, and is intended for use with the Traxxas Rustler and Stampede (electric versions). MIP’s multiple World Championships and National Championship winning design CVD can now be part of an important upgrade to your Traxxas Stampede and Rustler. The new C-CVD style design eliminates the original set-screw over drive pin design and instead utilizes a unique screw-on outer C-Ring that captures the drive pin in place. The CVD bones are larger diameter (more material) than standard MIP CVD bones, for even more durability. This kit also includes a pair of beefy steel diff outdrives as well.
NOTE: This C-CVD kit is designed only for 2S use. For maximum strength, please use MIP18140.
Features:
- 15% larger shaft diameter for today’s high demand power systems.
- Hardened High Strength Alloy Axles, black oxide coated.
- Thread-on Capture Ring to ensure proper placement of the cross pin.

I used these as a perfect fit for my Slash with proline protrac suspension.
These driveshafts are excellent at handling torque however, in my opinion, the steel is too brittle when it comes to handling lateral force at an angle. I tried these in my 2WD Rustler and in less than one battery pack, one of the stub axles had snapped right where the cross pin goes through to engage the hex. I took the truck over a small jump (getting no more than 15 inches off the ground) landed on the sidewalls of my tires, and the stub axle snapped clean off. I immediately went back to my stock driveshafts and never had problems again. I think these driveshafts are okay for skilled racers driving on a well maintained track surface, but for bashers, I recommend looking elsewhere.
