Blade 330 S RTF Electric Flybarless Helicopter
The Blade 330s RTF is a great helicopter that is truly ready to fly right out of the box. I recommend you upgrade the transmitter to a DX6e as the DSX that comes with the heli is very limited. It will get you in the air in minutes, but basic functions like Expo, sub trim, and gyro gain are not possible without a programmable transmitter.
Having said that, I am really enjoying this little Flybarless heli and fly it every day. Thanks to the crew at AMain for the great sales and tech support.

Blade 330 S RTF Electric Flybarless Helicopter
Well there’s a lot to mention.
First and foremost the cable needed to update/ tune and setup the software in the receiver/ESC is NOT included with your 500 dollar purchase so that’s a great start.
Secondly, the model doesn’t fly right out of the box, it needs a software update in order to not just flip right off of lift off.
The swashplate slams forward and to the right on mine as soon as you start spooling up.
Its obvious it has not been test flown at the factory because it won’t fly the way it comes.
With that out of the way the heli itself flies great once you wipe the settings and set it up from scratch. I used an NX8 radio, used a model template then fine tuned the settings to my liking over time. It’s a great, agile, powerful and twitchy heli. It’s very stable and hard to crash in normal mode IF you have the equipment and knowledge to set it up properly like they should’ve from the factory.
All in all I really do like it but also at this price point you may want to venture into other brands that come with aluminum and carbon parts plus better FBL module.
Horizon support isn’t good but isn’t bad so they will help if requested but expect the “send it in for repair” and the “it will be returned in 1-2 months” messages if you do not already have experience in the heli field. Being advertised as RTF OR BNF isn’t true considering there were multiple issues that made it un flyable and unsafe new out of the box. Also the servo arm under the canopy rubs the canopy and causes the servo to bind so you will have to modify that for clearance.
Honestly if you have the extra cash I’d buy a different manufacturer with better QC and build components.
If not then I’d recommend getting a BNF model plus an NX6 radio and set it up yourself following some of the info in the manual. Some is correct others need tuned. Without forward programming and a PC with the cable to connect the two, you will mainly be crashing and buying parts.
